Wow, four months of school has passed already!

Much more learning takes place every day!
NOVEMBER
NOVEMBRE
This month we will ramp up our study of word wall words and start to focus more on letter sounds and blending sounds to make syllables. We will start our study of geography with identifying water and land on a globe. We will then learn to name the continents and then look at pictures to differentiate between hills and mountains. In science we will start our study of plants by discussing their needs and parts. We will compare the life cycle of an apple tree and a pumpkin. In math we will continue to practice counting up to twenty with objects in different configurations. Then, we will start our measurement unit by measuring the length and weight of objects. Below are some videos we use in class and/or that parents can use at home to support learning.
Morning Meeting
Morning meeting is a time used to invite students into the school day. We often sing songs that are tied to concepts we will learn later on in the day. Other songs are fun to build vocabulary. The following are examples of some of the morning meeting songs we have song this month.
